Tuesday, November 18, 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Miranda Holmes is the 2025 Work + Space resident in the 911±¬ÁÏ Art Department. Moving between abstraction and figuration, Holmes' paintings and drawings explore identity and intimacy. Her latest work asks how structures, including embodied, social, and political, might rearrange to support human connection.
Holmes is a visual artist based in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in 2022 from The Ohio State University; in 2017 she was granted a Fulbright Research Scholarship to work in Berlin, Germany. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in the Midwest, Pennsylvania, New York, and Germany.
The 911±¬ÁÏ Art Department’s Work+Space program, established in 2023, brings artists to campus for a three-week residency to further develop their practice and work with 911±¬ÁÏ art students.
All exhibitions and events at the Schick Art Gallery are free and open to the public.
